Ron Gloff Joins National Geographic Digital Motion's International Licensing Team as Account Manager for Media Entertainment Markets
WASHINGTON (Sept. 28, 2007)—National Geographic Digital Motion, the digital film archive containing moving images from more than 40 years of award-winning National Geographic Television and documentary film production, today announced the appointment of Ron Gloff as account manager. Gloff will be responsible for licensing content to entertainment clients in the film, television and museum industries. Operating from the Los Angeles office, Gloff will manage client relations in the western United States and western Canada; he will report to John Brosnan, director of North American Sales.
Prior to joining National Geographic Digital Motion, Gloff served as senior account executive for Corbis Motion, where he maintained and grew the client base within the company’s California region.
“Ron’s extensive experience with licensing content is a valuable asset to National Geographic Digital Motion’s sales team and to our list of prominent entertainment clients in the western region,” said Jocelyn Shearer, vice president of video licensing and archive management. “As a leading provider of wildlife, science and progressive cultural footage, we are continuously expanding the reach of our content to new markets. With Ron on board, we are better able to expand our client relationships and answer the demand for best-in-class, nonfiction footage.”
Most recently, National Geographic Digital Motion made significant investments to enhance its licensing operations, announcing new partnerships and acquisitions that expanded its HD offerings by more than 170 hours. The deals bring to the digital archive a vast range of HD footage, from spectacular time-lapse sequences of the Milky Way to the vibrant undersea world. These collections add to the breadth of the library and online offerings, to create a total content solution for clients.
